Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) impacts up to 70 million people worldwide.
Aria CV’s novel treatment approach uses a device that uses no battery, pump, or electronics to mimic the function of a healthy pulmonary artery. The company was founded in 2010 by doctors who were members of a team that invented the technology during a fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Beginning a partnership in early 2020, the team at The Experience Design Studio created the Minneapolis-based company’s first website and visual brand, helping bring this unique approach to pulmonary hypertension to life for the first time. Aria is now preparing for a US-based clinical trial under the Food and Drug Administration’s Early Feasibility Study Program to evaluate the safety and efficacy of long-term implants in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) patients, with the clinical trial set to start in 2022.
Our work included:
- User experience, design & development
The team at The Experience Design Studio created a new website from the ground up for the company, featuring a clean and easy-to-navigate user experience showcasing the brand’s novel treatment approach. Patients are provided with an overview of PAH, treatment options, and clinical study information; similarly, physicians are provided with an overview of Aria CV’s Pulmonary Hypertension System and its benefits. The website was developed in WordPress for ease of editing and scalability by both Aria staff and XDS team members. In addition, XDS provided a uniform look to Aria’s social channels that matched the new website look and feel. - HubSpot CRM for capturing new leads
HubSpot’s CRM and marketing automation system was set up to allow Aria to easily capture new leads and build its customer and B2B database. New contacts are segmented and sent communication upon registering on the website. - SEO friendliness
The website was created and optimized for search friendliness, capitalizing on key brand terms that generated search impressions and traffic.
