EvidenceSignal Terms of Service

Last updated: October 29, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of EvidenceSignal, operated by The Experience Design Studio (“XDS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including its hosted application, connected tools, assessments and reports.

By using EvidenceSignal, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What EvidenceSignal provides

EvidenceSignal helps users research publicly available information about companies and products and understand how that information supports questions from different audiences.

Features may include public-source research, audience-specific assessments, evidence scores, source references, competitor comparisons, downloadable reports and optional observations of AI-platform responses.

Features, supported audiences and available sources may change over time.

2. Research and informational use

EvidenceSignal provides observational research and communication assessments. It does not provide medical, legal, regulatory, reimbursement or investment advice.

Reports do not establish:

  • Whether a product is safe, effective or suitable for a particular patient.
  • Whether a product, claim or communication complies with applicable requirements.
  • Whether a company or product is approved, cleared, commercially available or covered by insurance.
  • Clinical superiority, investment value or a recommendation to buy, sell or invest.

Use qualified professionals and original sources when making clinical, regulatory, legal, financial or other consequential decisions.

Using EvidenceSignal or requesting an XDS review does not, by itself, create a professional advisory relationship or an engagement for agency services. Any separate XDS engagement requires its own agreement.

3. Understanding results and scores

Assessments reflect the information retrieved during a bounded research process. They may omit relevant sources, contain errors or become outdated.

An EvidenceSignal score describes support within the assessment’s methodology and collected evidence. It is not an industry benchmark, certification, clinical-quality rating or guarantee of search or AI visibility.

A source that was not found or could not be accessed may still exist. Missing retrieval does not establish missing evidence or a defect in a website.

Competitor comparisons depend on the inputs, accessible evidence and compatibility of the assessments being compared. They do not establish clinical or commercial superiority.

4. AI-generated content and visibility observations

EvidenceSignal may use AI services to generate questions, interpret evidence and prepare findings.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and checking supporting sources before relying on, publishing or distributing them.

Optional AI-visibility observations capture particular responses to particular prompts. Responses may differ by time, platform, account, location, model or other conditions. These observations are snapshots, not comprehensive rankings or predictions of what every user will see.

Sources requiring subscriptions, professional credentials or signed-in access may be unavailable. We do not promise coverage of every website, database, community or AI platform.

5. Your inputs and responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you submit and for ensuring that you have the rights and authorization needed to submit it.

Review suggested or automatically populated details before starting an assessment. Company names, products, indications and competitor information may require correction.

Do not submit:

  • Patient records, protected health information or other sensitive personal information.
  • Government identification numbers or payment-card information.
  • Passwords, API keys, authentication codes or other credentials in research fields or messages.
  • Confidential, proprietary or restricted material you are not authorized to share.
  • Content that infringes another person’s rights or violates applicable law.

Use only the designated authentication pages to sign in.

You grant XDS permission to process and store your submitted information as reasonably necessary to provide and operate EvidenceSignal, as described in our Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership of your submitted material to XDS.

6. Accounts and acceptable use

You must meet the applicable eligibility requirements of the service and any platform through which you access it. Keep your account credentials secure and do not use another person’s account without authorization.

You must not:

  • Attempt to access another user’s private assessments or account information.
  • Bypass authentication, access controls, usage limits or technical safeguards.
  • Interfere with the service, introduce malicious code or conduct unauthorized security testing.
  • Use the service for unlawful, deceptive, abusive or discriminatory purposes.
  • Misrepresent generated findings as verified facts, regulatory determinations or professional advice.
  • Present fictional demonstrations as real research or conceal material limitations when sharing results.

Authorized security research requires prior written permission from XDS.

7. Reports, sharing and intellectual property

XDS retains its rights in EvidenceSignal’s software, branding, design, methodology and other service materials.

Subject to these Terms, you may download and share your generated assessments for business research, planning and discussion, including with your team, advisers and XDS. Preserve relevant source references, limitations and fictional-demo labels.

Third-party publications, website content, trademarks and source materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and any applicable usage restrictions. A citation, excerpt or report does not grant permission to reproduce or redistribute an entire third-party work.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated material is unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection.

Do not imply that XDS, a cited source or an AI-platform provider endorses your company, product or claims without authorization.

Hosted report links may require an authorized account. Sharing a link does not grant the recipient access. You are responsible for distributing downloaded copies appropriately.

8. Privacy and optional contact requests

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account information, assessment inputs, research material, operational records and optional review requests.

Authorized XDS administrators may review submitted website-assessment inputs to understand research demand and improve the service, as disclosed in that policy.

Requesting an XDS review is optional. Submitting a request authorizes XDS to review the information described on the form and contact you about that request. It does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

Withdrawal and deletion options, retention periods and relevant limitations are described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-party services and sources

EvidenceSignal relies on third-party hosting, authentication, research and AI services. Their availability, content and functionality may change independently of XDS.

Your use of ChatGPT or another connected platform is also governed by that platform’s terms and policies.

Links and references to third-party sources are provided for research and convenience. Inclusion does not imply endorsement, and XDS does not control those sources.

10. Availability and service changes

We may update features, impose reasonable usage limits or temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, a security concern, a violation of these Terms or a legal requirement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or permanent availability of saved reports. Download reports you need to retain, subject to the sharing and third-party rights provisions above.

Suspending or ending access does not automatically delete stored information. Our Privacy Policy explains retention and deletion requests.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, EvidenceSignal is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee a particular marketing outcome, search placement, AI-platform response, business result or regulatory outcome.

These disclaimers do not exclude warranties or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, XDS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, EvidenceSignal, including loss of profits, business opportunities or anticipated savings.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or overrides mandatory rights available under applicable law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as the service changes. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain agreement before material changes take effect.

If you do not agree to revised Terms, stop using EvidenceSignal. Changes will not apply retroactively where prohibited by applicable law.

14. Contact and other agreements

For questions about these Terms or concerns about EvidenceSignal, please use our contact form and identify EvidenceSignal as the service concerned.

If a separate written agreement with XDS expressly addresses your use of EvidenceSignal, that agreement controls to the extent of a conflict.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
